Sheree’s story
Sheree has been coming to Drama workshop at Columcille for ten years. She also chairs the weekly service user’s forum and is involved with People First and other service user forums.
Sheree is a great advocate for the needs and wishes of people with learning disabilities in Edinburgh, and keeps the forum up to date with what is going on.
“I get to mix with other people and have new experiences like going to the theatre and going to meetings. I am in the Drama group and I like learning different characters and I like performing in front of an audience.”
“I feel more confident doing drama, don’t feel so shy now. I also chair the forum and I always want to come even when I don’t have any staff to bring me.
If I didn’t come to Columcille I would miss the friends I have and all the outings and parties that happen.
