Our board

The Columcille Council of Management has 7 directors to oversee the running and good quality of Columcille:

Chairperson: John Hanlin

John is a retired Group Manager with Scottish Fire & Rescue Service. John’s sister has participated at Columcille for many years.

Vice Chair: Alan McKean

Alan’s career was in learning disability nursing. Alan has recently retired.

Treasurer: Lindsey Rowlands

Lindsey previously worked as a computer technician at one of the large banks, and now works as a venue organiser for a local church.

Susan O’Brien

Susi runs her own independent HR consultancy and was previously Head of Human Resources at The Action Group.

Alison Goodwin

Alison’s career was in Social Work, in recent years with the Scottish Mental Welfare Commission. Alison is now retired.

Layla McLachlan

Layla was a workshop leader in weaving and textiles at Garvald Edinburgh for over 20 years and recently took up a post with Fairhill Rise a day service in East Lothian run by the Ruskin Mill Tust.

Dr Sara Kondracki

Dr Kondracki joined the council of management in 2019. She is a recently retired consultant psychiatrist with NHS Lothian.
